About
Small software, made in Europe, with no servers to maintain.
Why it exists
Almost every AI app works the same way: it takes your text, sends it to a server, and returns the result. It works, but it requires trusting someone else with your emails, your meeting notes, and your documents. When Apple put a language model inside the device itself, we wanted to build the alternative: an app where the question "where do my texts go?" has a verifiable answer — nowhere.
Who is behind it
LocalKeep is built and maintained by Color Vivo Internet, SL, the Spanish studio of David Carrero Fernández-Baillo: more than two decades building the internet, co-founder of Stackscale (European cloud infrastructure), and author at carrero.es, where he has long championed the very idea behind this app — sovereignty over your own data. LocalKeep is that idea turned into software: small, honest, and with no servers to maintain.
Three principles
If it can't be done on the device, we don't do it. No silent exceptions.
We tell you what hardware you need before you download, not after.
No accounts, no analytics, no trackers in the app. The website only uses anonymous, cookieless-by-default measurement.
